An employment bonus to hire a survivor of cancer: Flanders sets the example!
Companies hiring someone with cancer or other serious illness will receive a bonus to compensate for the possible lack of cost-effectiveness associated with side effects, such as fatigue, one of the most disabling effects after cancer. Not less than 20% of the salary will be compensated for 2 years. The initiative of the Minister of Employment in Flanders is to be welcomed. This incentive for employers will be a springboard for hundreds of patients who are just waiting to return to the job market: a pledge of health, significant resocialization and of course income guarantee!
